i have just got my new quote for car ins and boy am i mad so mad that i have poliitly told them what to do with it, i have never told a lie or had a serious bump in over 30 yrs and they wanted £375( i get fully comp )to renew this year, my son drives a 2.5 diesel passat at £212 fully comp and he is only 29yrs, i asked the chap if it was because of the RA he said no, i asked was it because it's an auto, ans no again,i went through almost everything even asked if it is a boy racer car as it's a suzuki swift but all came back as no,so i asked why are you charging me so much...no ans so i declined the quote,i really need my car, but i am happy to report that an other company gave me the same deal i had for £215 i am now a happy bunny and they didn't load me for RA,i was so angry i felt ill all day,how dare they, just to say do shop around,i am shocked at how much some companies want before you put in the RA,aw well next month it's the home ins so.....dorothy.

I know what you mean Dorothy, I usually change companies every year because it goes up by so much, this year for the first time ever I've stayed with the same company as it was only about £5.00 more. The same goes for house and contents insurance. I even tried to deal saying so and so offered me this deal and they still won't match it. I think the whole thing is fixed and it makes me mad too that I know I'll have to get online then ring around to check what the policies actually offer, its such and annoying waste of time.
Best wishes
Sheila
